I saw this video which is very informative, But i just add on somethings about this. I just read the Nursery Furniture Checklist blog on Babymore, and it was fantastic! I always wanted 4 or 5. My compromise number is 3. But it took us two years to get pregnant with a healthy second baby so I think number 3 is impossible at this point.

I am 38 weeks and 2 days with my second. 3cm and 60% effaced! Doing everything I can!

Ftm..and I'm honestly confused.. my 5 month old baby seems to need a lot of help to sleep. As in it takes me 2 hours to put her to bed at night and during the day we only do contact naps... she just doesn't spontaneously sleep.ever. and she gets cranky when overtired. So am I supposed to just not spend 2 hours "helping her sleep"?. Did I hear that right?

Curb walking threw my pelvis out of alignment sadly. I did the Myers circuit twice and baby did engage better, but no contractions. I subbed curb walking for the chair move the second time, and it so much easier on my body! Currently 40+4 and I've tried everything.

I FEEL the travel. We are a family of 4 who travel a lot, and I travel without my husband a good bit too. Handling 2 kids by myself while traveling is pretty manageable and they are getting older and more self-sufficient. I keep thinking of that 3rd though and feel like I may regret it when I'm old, so who the hell knows what I will do. My youngest is 3.5 and I never wanted an age gap bigger than 3 years but here we are. I feel I go a little manic about figuring out to go for a 3rd or not. All that to say, I enjoy reading these comments from people who stopped and people who didn't.

Shayla we are in such similar boats! I'm currently 9 days from my due date. I'm pregnant with my 3rd. I have 2 girls and this baby is a boy. I've spent all of August prepping all the things and nesting. Today I had someone deep clean my house. I finished my last few "to-dos" today before baby comes. Now I'm ready for baby to come any time. :)

I just want to mention about what I do for EC and for cleaning. I have tile, so clean up isn't an option for me.. But i use undies for my 2.5 year old since he was months old, but i am just switching to cloth diapers at night instead of disposables. I know a lot of people complain about the smell, so for anyone having a problem with that, try to rinse them any time they get anything in them and if you don't rinse them right away, then rinse them before you toss them in the washer. I found that helped dramatically.

Total random suggestion for the fall/winter activities!! Go to your local mall!! Even if the mall is practically dead, go! Warm space for the kids to run around is gold lol

Highly recommend a floor bed!! My oldest was also sleep trained but literally stopped sleeping when he turned 2. So now, he starts off in his room then comes in freely to his crib mattress on the floor thats on my side. My youngest, almost 2, was a major cosleeper but now mostly sleeps in his bed, sometimes coming into our bed. Im hoping to introduce him to a floor bed with his brother if we have a third, so they can cosleep and i can cosleep with the baby.

A lot of what influences my inconsistent feelings on having a 3rd is (well finances and mental sanity) other family members opinions. My MIL thinks we should have only had 1, although she adores my 2nd, but it stings. My dad thinks we'll end up in financial ruin if we have another. So not having family's support is really really rough and weighing down this decision.

I dont why, but when you said, "im good to pause," it resonated with me so much. I, too, change my mind on a 3rd, daily. Ive had people say, "well just wait. Dont make a decision yet. You have time..." But I dont want to "wait." Waiting feels like limbo. But pausing.... feels more like a decision. So thank you for that lol

Hey Shayla! I am considering night weaning my 12 month old. Will wait a month before we try it out! Hearing about your experience is super helpful. My lo wakes up every hour or so for a suckle and then goes back to sleep. I am afraid that after night weaning he won’t have the boob to go back to sleep and if he continues waking up, do they easily go back to sleep with comforting? And what comforting mechanisms do you use?

Please please help me! I'm expecting a daughter in December and we LOVE the name Peach. Do you think it's an acceptable name? My fiance is completely on board! Suggestions for 2 middle names? We both have 2 middle names so we want our daughter to have 2 too. We like vintage/cute/unique names.

How long did it take your uterus to go septic? I am on 2.5 weeks from my miscarriage. It is not passing. My surgery is scheduled in one week. A little worried. Please help

Thank you so much for this! My friend is having a baby in December and I've never really had friends who have had kids yet and I've never had a kid myself so I wasn't sure what to do I know that I should probably do stuff for her since everyone focuses on the baby so much but this really helped!

I have just miscarried at 12 weeks yesterday after having had one at 6 weeks right before this last pregnancy and am wondering if you&Seth got labs done to check for potential causes after your 2nd miscarriage. I hear you said you took a break after the second and waited half a year to start trying again. I'm not even really asking you if you'd recommend that because I know I need that on every level. Curious if you did anything to promote fertility before you started trying again. This will become my second child, I have an exquisite 3 year old sunshine who is my main medicine right now and the light of my life. Yesterday I snuggled him in bed and he all of the sudden got really sad, and when I asked why he said "I'm not gonna be a big brother". He had already named the baby, kissed the belly, and gotten really excited to have a sibling. I know it will happen for us, I just really feel like I need to cover all my bases medically speaking before entering another pregnancy, this one was already very stressful after the most recent loss. Spiritually I know this soul is coming to incarnate into our family, and to have gotten to host her in my womb twice already for however short time feels like a pure blessing. My heart is broken and my body recovering from a birth, yet in place of my healthy baby there is the deepest sadness I have ever felt in this life. I genuinely think that they'll be whole therapy sessions devoted to adults not knowing whether their parents did nice things with them when they were kids because they loved them or because they wanted likes and followers. Part of a simple life for us is low social media use.

Going through a really tough moment with my gf. Basically hates me and wants to end the relationship and our baby has been here for only a month. It’s good to hear these tips bc I don’t want our relationship to end. It’s been a really rough day
